Running Apparel
Sugoi Performance Running Apparel
Running Apparel: "Compared to hockey and football players, runners are lucky! Other than a good pair of shoes, you don't need a lot of expensive equipment. But you do need a few articles of quality, comfortable clothing.
You really don't need that much gear to run comfortably year around. You probably already have at least some of the running apparel you'll need and even if you don't, everything doesn't need to be purchased all at once. Buy it as you need it and upgrade as your budget permits.
Good running apparel can last for many years (with the proper care). So, consider your purchase an investment in you that will pay off in increased comfort and health.
Revel Sports: offers a wide selection of running apparel from BOA, Sugoi, illumiNITE, and others.
When selecting running apparel, stay away from 100% cotton clothing. Cotton retains moisture, which can cause friction and subsequently, chafing, which is not pleasant.
Basic Running Apparel Needs:
Running shorts, a fresh pair for each run
Short-sleeve and a couple of long-sleeve T-shirts
Pair of tights (snug leggings for cold weather running)
Jacket (lightweight, breathable, and windproof) A vest may do in some climates
Pair of gloves
Hat
CoolMax running socks
Having more of each running apparel item can be a plus as it reduces the number of times you have to do laundry and keeps you from worrying about whether your clothing has dried from a previous run. Freshly laundered clothing will also help in preventing chafing.
